How to Update THSCU101 Device Manager Appearance

Introduction
With the latest Firmware, THSCU101 appears “THine Solutions THEIA-CAM” in Windows.
If your PC USB Port has already been connected to THSCU101 with older version Firmware, you may still see “CX3-UVC” even when the Firmware is the latest. In such a case, you can update the Device Name by taking the following steps.
Hardware Overview
THine Solutions THEIA-CAM™ THSCU101
The THSCU101 is available at Digi-Key. A 1-meter USB 3.0 Micro-B to Type A Cable is included in the Kit.
This page assumes you have updated the Firmware following How to Update THSCU101 Firmware.
Windows PC
Any Windows PC should work with the THSCU101.
Software Overview
Microsoft Windows 10
We recommend using Windows 10. We also support macOS. If your only choice is Mac, please follow the instruction. We will use Windows 10’s default camera application “Camera.”
Note: Windows 11 has not yet been confirmed to work for this Firmware update.
THine Solutions THSCU101 Firmware Binary

Step 1 Connect THSCU101 to PC
Step 2 Unisinstall Device
In the Device Manager window under Cameras, if you see “CX3-UVC” that is the THSCU101, right-click it and select Unistall device. You may need to restart your computer.
Step 3 Reconnect THSCU101 to PC
Then disconnect the THSCU101 from PC, and connect it again to the USB Port.
Note: You may need to do these Step 1 to 3 for each USB port with USB 2 cable and USB 3 cable.
